Kate Schulinn, award-winning portrait and event photographer, is the sole proprietor and operator of Moments Matter Photography, based in Boston, MA.
After graduating from Amherst College, Kate spent ten years teaching literacy to children and adolescents. Throughout that time she photographed dozens of youth, families and events throughout the Boston area, while continuing to advance her photographic knowledge through classes at the New England School of Photography. Eventually Kate decided to pursue photography full-time and attended the prestigious Hallmark Institute of Photography, where she studied under master photographers Dick D’Allesandro, Richard Barnes, Gregory Heisler and David Turner. Kate is a member of the American Society of Media Professionals, the National Press Photographers Association,Professional Photographers of America and Wedding and Portrait Professionals International. As the owner and lead photographer of Moments Matter Photography, Kate is able to combine her photographic skills with her ability to connect with individuals to create insightful, memorable portraits of the moments that do indeed matter in life.
